Co-Designing: Understanding and Involving Users
Co-designing
Request this paperThis Cooperative design assignment describes an investigation in the area of children with busy parents. The main focus for this course is to examine problems between children and parents relationship and propose a solution with user representatives. A solution that do not have to be a specific physical object.
For families today it is difficult to maintain communication at all times with every family member, when both parents have full time jobs and the children are facing their teenage years. Using three chosen methods, we have investigated this area for problems in relationships between 12-13 year old children and their parents. The children were part of our focus group and workshop and helped us develop a solution – they were co-designing with us. We’ve made personas and scenarios as a final product. However, our solution is not a finished product, but a tool for further investigating the field.
