This project examines single person companies’ needs and challenges along with benefits and possibilities in the area around Copenhagen, Denmark. The purpose of this project is to use service design tools to analyse potential business opportunities for new services.

Focusing on service design methods and theories, we seek to discover an opportunity for improving an existing governmental issued service, which is designed to help entrepreneurs and single person companies. More specifically our service optimisation revolves around the website startvækst.dk. The tools used for this project involves service ecologies and blueprints (Polaine, Løvlie & Reason 2013) which we use in relation to other supporting theorist.

We found that single person companies would benefit from a contract-builder service, that could provide them with knowledge about creating contracts for their clients. Our empirical data showed that our concept for an improved service, was considered useful by the single person companies we met with.
